You're cordially invited to the Blue Element freediving competition with Freedivers United. Founded in 2015, Blue Element is the original freediving platform and school in Dominica — warm Caribbean water and a perfectly protected bay, the ideal place to push your limits and set records on the world stage.

Six days of competition to test your mettle — any discipline, any day — in 28°C water with no current and a 145m depth limit. Entry includes official training in the two weeks prior.

Getting to Dominica.

One of the Caribbean's most beautiful, unspoiled islands. All international visitors arrive via Douglas–Charles Airport (DOM), with regular regional connections through major hubs.

High-speed services connect Dominica with Martinique and Guadeloupe — a good option if you want to combine your trip with other islands.

  • Book flights as early as possible, especially in peak periods
  • Allow extra connection time through regional Caribbean hubs
  • Arrive a day before the event to settle in before the programme starts
  • From the UK & Europe: route via Antigua or Barbados for the easiest connections
  • From North America: direct from Miami, or connect via San Juan, Antigua or Barbados
