Blue Element exists because two freedivers found the best water on earth — and decided to share it. This is who we are, and what makes the bay so special.
Why we're here
Blue Element began with a simple realisation: Soufrière Bay in Dominica offers conditions most freedivers only dream of — deep water metres from shore, no current, no waves, and visibility that runs for tens of metres straight down.
We built a training centre and competition around it, run by people who compete and coach at the highest level. The goal has never changed: give every diver, from first breath to world record, the safest and most beautiful place to find their depth.
“We've dived all over the world. We stayed in Dominica because nowhere else lets you go this deep, this calmly, this safely — and we wanted to share it.”
Meet the team
When you train at Blue Element, the person on the other end of the line has been to the depths you're chasing — and coached others far beyond them.

A multiple national record holder and seasoned competitor, Harry coaches across every level and co-organises the Blue Element competition — bringing precision and calm to every session on the line.
Behind the founders is a rotating crew of professional safety divers, AIDA judges and a dedicated medical team during camps and competition — the people who make deep diving here so safe.
The crew
Our resident photographer and filmmaker — capturing the bay, the platform and every athlete above and below the surface, from competition coverage to the permitted sperm-whale encounters.
@samudraflowThe brain behind the platform. Riccardo runs the sled and mainline rigging, coordinates every session on the water and coaches equalisation — the technical key that unlocks depth for divers at every level.
Responsible for everyone who enters the water. Federico leads the in-water safety team and oversees day-to-day operations, holding the platform to elite-competition safety standard on every dive.

The platform & conditions
Soufrière Bay is a flooded volcanic crater inside a protected marine reserve — a natural deep-water amphitheatre just metres from shore. Our platform turns that geography into a world-class training and competition site.

Safety at the core
From a first course to a record attempt, the same standards apply. Our setup and team are built so divers can fully relax — the single most important thing in freediving.
